Gravity Touch Wireless Charging Base Review for [Fuse] Chicken

[Fuse] Chicken are a really innovative company who design products that look good and really last. They make accessories for phone, tablet and computer users, and we've been sent one of their new premium Aluminum, Leather and Bamboo wireless phone chargers - the Gravity Touch.

[Fuse Chicken] care about looks. They are modern and forward thinking, and the Gravity is available in sustainable bamboo or leather with high strength aluminum. I've gone with bamboo and it is a really attractive item to have either on the desk or bedroom table. Subtle and understated, yet classic and very smart. It's pretty much exactly what I want from a phone charger.

12000mAh Slim Power Bank Review for Varta

The Varta Slim Power bank promises up to 5 full phone charges or 2 tablet charges before it needs to be recharged itself. Smaller than a paperback book, and safely encased with a metal cover, it is ideal to take away with you and likely to be invaluable to us this Summer.

Everyone has a cupboard somewhere full of very exciting electrical gadgets. Sometimes this is a drawer, sometimes it is called a garage or a shed. Your gadgets (including your vehicle) will all need power and this is where Varta come in. They have been making batteries for over 100 years and more recently have increased the range, now making chargers, torches and other consumer products.

Father's Day Gift Guide 2016

Father's Day this year falls on Sunday June 19th - so you still have more than 10 days to choose that perfect gift. Here are a selection of my favourites from what's on offer this year...

Memories are precious to Dads, and they can be emotional, hilarious or just make him proud. Cheerz have an awesome range of gifts including their letterbox sized Cheerz Box which starts at £16 for 30 beautifully packaged prints delivered. We also reviewed their Retro Magnets at £17.50 for 12 awesome magnetic prints delivered to your door. Our Cheerz photogifts review is here...

Liberty Trading Father's Day Gifts: Plasma Balls and Hitmen

The Liberty Trading Company Limited are a company who specialise in great gifts, and they sent me a couple of things for my partner to review. He handily has a birthday 2 weeks before Father's Day, so we got the chance to judge his reaction when we wrapped them and gave them as real presents.

We're reviewing the Plasma Ball Bluetooth Speaker and Toonstar Toys Hitmen. Both were a success, so that was good news!

Cheerz Photogifts Review - Cheerz Photobox and Retro Magnets

I was recently asked on Instagram if I'd like to review for Cheerz, and I thought it would be quite nice to see some of my favourite Instagram photos turned into good old-fashioned photographs you can hold in your hand. Cheerz make a nice range of different gifts and have some novel ways to display your pictures. They're perfect for a proud Dad on Father's Day.

I chose the Cheerz Box. 30 prints in a nice 'letterbox' sized box. They're crisp and clear and the colours are very true. The border colours on these are lovely. The photos are cropped to square, and you can reposition them, resize and also add captions if you want. It's actually a fantastic way to save memories that you think you'll know forever, but time steals some of the information. I've labelled a few with dates, and I chose some of the very best smiles.

A special Bacon Butty for Father's Day...

Roberts Bakery asked bloggers if we could come up with a Father's Day Bacon Butty creation. They want to bring out Dad's soft and fluffy side by plying him with a delicious bacon butty on Father's Day morning.

I'm not a meat eater, but my partner is, and bacon is one of his favourites. It's also a regular weekend breakfast here, so I was happy to take on the job for his benefit.

Roberts Bakery sent us a hamper so that we had everything we needed, and we tested the loaf with your basic simple bacon sandwich.

A little something for Father's Day....

It's that time of year when we start browsing handkerchiefs and wondering when ties went out of fashion, and then resort to some 97% dark chocolate like every year because we know he'll be really pleased with it anyway... It can feel a little bit lame, so here are some ideas that think outside the box a little bit more..

Scruffs Hardwear. The entire Scruffs range is designed to be hardwearing and long-lasting. Scruffs are a brand we've reviewed for before, and their Scruffs t-shirt is just as good quality. Heavyweight cotton, nicely printed and really very good for an £11.99 t-shirt.

A few Father's Day gift ideas..from Scruffs Workwear

Scruffs don't only sell clothing though, they have a range of useful accessories, from belts and gloves to bags, and even shockproof, water-resistant watches at £19.99. Ideal for a Dad who likes his sports or DIY, or has a manual job and needs something a bit tougher. It's very big, it's very orange! If big orange watches aren't his thing, then how about a Bottle Opener Belt at £11.95?
